At the end of August, our little red truck made its way north for Sydney's Marathon weekend.
We teamed up with Tempo Journal to help celebrate the launch of Issue 01, their new independent magazine dedicated to running and the culture that surrounds it. Rather than throwing one big launch party, we took the celebrations around Sydney.
Over the course of the weekend, the Coffee Supreme truck popped up at activations with Up There Athletics, HOKA and lululemon, bringing coffee and fresh copies of Tempo along for the ride.
With plenty of running happening, we kept the menu simple and suitably caffeinated. There were cans of Coffee Supreme cold brew, hot batch brew and a special cold brew topped with cold foam made using SAP maple syrup running gels. A slightly unusual combination that turned out to be a very good one.
The truck became a place to grab a coffee after the run and pick up a copy of Tempo Issue 01 to take home. More than anything, it was a good excuse to spend a few days amongst a community we already feel pretty close to. Running and coffee have a habit of bringing people together, and Sydney Marathon weekend had plenty of both.
A huge thanks to the Tempo Journal crew for bringing us along, and to Up There Athletics, HOKA and lululemon for welcoming us into their events. We also couldn't have taken the truck north without our friends at La Marzocco, our main partners in keeping it out and about, or noissue, who supplied the branded cups for the weekend.
Thanks for having us, Sydney.
