Holiday Blend makes good company on its own. Sam’s taken it a little further.Meet the Cherry On Top. Cherry cola and Holiday Blend espresso over ice, topped with vanilla bean cold foam and a maraschino cherry.
It’s the first in our summer signature drink series, with drinks from our team in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
Start with Sam’s. Pull up a chair and make yourself one.
You’ll need
• 30 ml cherry syrup (pre-made is fine or see recipe below)
• 80 ml cola
• 40 ml Holiday Blend Espresso
• Vanilla bean cold foam (3 parts thickened cream, 1 part full-cream milk + vanilla bean paste)
• 1 maraschino cherry
• Ice
How to make it
1. Add the cherry syrup to a glass.
2. Fill the glass with ice and pour in the cola.
3. Slowly pour over the espresso.
4. Top with vanilla bean cold foam.
5. Add a maraschino cherry, serve and enjoy.
Cherry Syrup
• 1 cup frozen cherries
• ⅔ cup granulated white sugar
• ⅔ cup water
How to make it
1. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes
2. Let it cool before adding it to your drink.
3. Pour the remaining syrup into a clean, sealed bottle or jar and keep it in the fridge for your next round.
