TRAINING GUIDE

After three decades of working with and supplying some of the best coffee in the business, we’ve learnt a thing or two along the way. Amongst other things, training and development are important aspects of what we do. Our espresso training allows us to share knowledge, ideas and practices with those working with Coffee Supreme. By increasing baristas’ skill levels and competency, we are ensuring high standards of espresso being served and ultimately a great customer experience — it’s a win-win. 

Our industry is continually evolving, and we have come to realise, with espresso, there is always something to learn. Higher grades of green coffee are more readily available and espresso machinery is more advanced and better understood. These two factors have influenced the way we train and prepare espresso today. We are certain our approach and techniques will continue to evolve within the industry. 

This training page is not a hard-and-fast manual on “the only way to make great coffee”. It is an informative guide, outlining the fundamentals of espresso. It has been designed to complement Coffee Supreme training and aims to provide a solid understanding of the variables involved in making espresso.
