About this Coffee

The Gachatha Coffee Factory was formed back in 1963 and is located along the slopes of the Aberdare mountain range. As one of the most well-established wet mills in Nyeri, it benefits from the region’s deep, fertile red volcanic soils — ideal for growing top-quality coffee. Beyond coffee, the Co-op sets aside funds from each harvest to support its members, providing pre-financing for school fees, farm inputs, and emergency needs.

With bright notes of strawberry and lime, Gachatha is like summer in a mug — sweet, tart and perfect for those warmer days.
