About this Coffee
Cuevitas comes to us from La Bolsa, a farm tucked into the highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Founded in 1958 by Jorge Vides, the farm has been passed down three generations to Maria Elena Vides and her son, Renardo Ovalle. We’ve been working with María and Renardo for a couple of years now, and each season uncovers something new. This year’s harvest? One of the best yet.
Thanks to La Bolsa’s varied microclimates, each coffee grown here has its own distinct character, and Cuevitas is no exception. Roasted for espresso, it brings red apple and nougat to the cup, with a sweet aroma and finish that hangs around for the right reasons.
