ABOUT THIS COFFEE

Nemba is a refined take on a Burundian natural. Bright and fruity without the heavy fermentation.

Nemba Washing Station sits in Burundi’s Kayanza region, led by a hands-on agronomist who oversees Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and works closely with farmers to make sure they have the right tools and knowledge for their specific lots. From tailored growing advice to broader outreach projects, the station focuses on improving yields and setting farmers up for long-term success.

The average smallholder farmer tends around 250 trees, usually grown right in their backyard, producing roughly 200–300 kilos of cherries each year. Don’t let the size fool you, the coffee punches well above its weight, including this natural filter, bursting with dried apricot, hibiscus and plum, wrapped up in a clean, smooth finish.
