About this Coffee
Gracing our menu for a second time this year but returning as a filter roast is Asman Arianto, a beautiful coffee grown in Indonesia. Asman founded the Ribang Gayo Musara Cooperative back in 2018 and now has over 350 smallholder farmers delivering cherry to the processing facility. Most of them are migrants who evacuated from Sinabung Berastagi in North Sumatra after the long-dormant volcano became continuously active again in 2013. Built to unite the community, the cooperative's goal is to help farmers reinvest in their farms and their families as well as provide ongoing training.
While Indonesia is mostly known for its 'wet hulled' process, Asman and his team are going against the grain by diversifying the cooperative's processing methods. This naturally processed coffee bursts with tropical flavours of strawberry and guava that will have you dreaming of summer days.

Tasting Notes
The Golden Ratio
We recommend a ratio of 60g of freshly ground coffee for every litre of water. This is a good place to start, but you can fine-tune your recipe to suit your taste. You'll find some suggested brewing ratios of hot water to ground coffee for you to use below.
