About this Coffee

Nestled in Kiambu County, Mchana Estate stands as one of Kenya's largest estates. Traditionally, natural processing in Kenya has been dismissed as low quality, with the remnants of production carelessly relegated to drying beds and sold locally as M'buni. However, Mchana Estate has revolutionized this perception with its meticulously crafted natural process. Under the guidance of Mr Wambungo, the estate has undertaken various experiments, embracing processes ranging from honey to natural, showcasing a commitment to diversifying and elevating coffee quality. Mchana Estate extends its commitment beyond coffee quality to its workforce, employing nearly 200 permanent staff. The estate further provides essential services such as hospital care, childcare and comprehensive education in coffee harvesting practices. Kenya Mchana delivers bright and fruity notes you’d expect from a Kenyan coffee. The natural process enhances the mouthfeel, transforming its sweetness into tropical fruit flavours.
