Located south of Yirgacheffee, you'll find the town of Konga, where coffee is cultivated on a small scale by garden producers and intercropped with other produce to support the local community. Ethiopia, with its favourable climate and fertile soils, is renowned for producing coffees with uniquely floral and fruity profiles. The region's iron-rich soils play a crucial role in promoting chlorophyll production, ensuring that coffee plants absorb energy effectively, resulting in a well-defined profile. Handpicked at peak ripeness, the cherries undergo a light fermentation, resulting in a sweet and juicy cup. With flavours of berries and cola, this espresso roast reflects the rich heritage of this remarkable coffee-producing region.
