About this coffee

A juicy Ethiopian.

1,978 coffee farmers on two hectare farms bring cherry here to be processed, in the Oromia region in the South East of Ethiopia.

Dimtu is a relatively new growing area for coffee, only being established in the past 15-20 years. A farmer typically has up to 1500 trees per hectare and one tree is equal to just 100-200 grams of green coffee! The coffee is sorted, pulped and fermented before being washed, graded in channels, soaked and laid out to dry on raised African drying beds for up to 13 days.
