About this Coffee
Grown in the beautiful highlands of Southern Ethiopia, this farm is isolated in a valley known as Buku Sayisa, which translates to Blessed Valley. The farm plots are scattered and the terrain is uneven, so the farmers deliver the cherry on horseback. Buku Sayisa is one of the highest-elevated coffee-growing areas in Hambela Wamena with an altitude of 2,350 meters above sea level.
With such a high altitude, this coffee has had a long and slow fermentation resulting in a wild and vibrant flavour profile. We have roasted this naturally processed coffee for filter to accentuate its jasmine and jammy fruit notes. Buku Sayisa has a citric acidity and milk chocolate finish, making it the perfect daily brew.
