About this coffee

A sweet and zesty Colombian.

Ninety year old farmer Manuel Cardenas has been working with coffee all of his life. Lush green mountains rise and fall around the farm of San Jose, sitting at 1800 metres above sea level. The original Caturra trees on the farm were re-planted in Castillo variety over the past years for its hardy resistance, due to the constant leaf rust attacks in the region.

The earth here is naturally fertilised by rich volcanic deposits from the Galeras volcano, one of the most active in the continent and situated just ten kilometres west in the beautiful Galeras Flora and Fauna Sanctuary, an icon of the Narino department.
